Nokia N900 firmware updated to last version 1.2

Starting today, Nokia is pushing through a firmware update to the air-N900 Maemo 5-base – first in the UK and then worldwide (starting tomorrow).

Software update, version 1.2, brings new things for the Nokia N900, including: improved email (Facebook chat is included in the IM), face to face video calling, web browsing in the way portrait The customizable user interface menu system, and improve Ovi Maps.

From May 27, N900 owners will also be able to get new games through Ovi Store, including titles like Jurassic 3D Rollercoaster, WeatherBug, Zen wheel, birds angry GoGadget, Sygic, and Kroll.

Nokia has also confirmed it has no plans to upgrade officially meegin N900, Maemo arguing that it would “make sure you have the best possible experience for the features of the Nokia N900 device” while meegin may not guarantee that – and has sense, since the N900 has been designed to Maemo, not meegin (course meegin Maemo has a lot of it, but still different platforms).
