LG to launch 20 Android smartphones this year

LG may be the world's third largest phone manufacturer, but when it comes Android (and smartphones in general) is far behind other companies.

Until now, LG announced five mobile Android: GW620 LG, LG Optimus GT540 (picture below), Ally Verizon LG, LG LU2300 Optimus Q SU2300 and LG.

HTC, Samsung and Motorola are more Android phones from LG, and all have at least one high-end model – sure, LU2300 and SU2300 are also high, but are made only in Korea, so that you do not mind the T when we are talking about the global market.

Perhaps because of its portfolio of smartphones-that-not impressive, sales of LG Mobile operating profit fell to 0.9% in the first quarter of 2010 (6.7% a year).

In light of these facts, LG plans to conduct an aggressive campaign in the market for smart phones: the company intends to launch 20 Android devices in late 2010.

In early 2009, LG is committed to making your main Windows Mobile Smartphone operating system, but things have changed since then with the rise of Android, andMicrosoft phone launch by the end of Windows 7. So it seems that this year, at least, LG (like many other manufacturers of mobile phones) is committed to Android. WP7 will have a terminal, too, but you can not help the utility company is.
