BlackBerry 9670, RIM’s second smartphone to come in a clamshell form factor (after the Pearl Flip 8220 / 8230), might be exclusively available at Verizon and Vodafone.
According to Fudzilla, the BlackBerry 9670 is a clamshell just because Verizon asked RIM to do it in this form factor. Reportedly, the carrier also “supplied the specs” , which should include a 5MP camera, Wi-Fi, full QWERTY keyboard, and an updated OS (that’s BlackBerry 6).
The 9670 should be some sort of an affordable “hip device” targeted at young users.
Obviously, Verizon will sell the CDMA version of the BlackBerry 9670 in the US, while Vodafone should get the GSM version for Europe and other markets. No word yet on the release date of the BlackBerry 9670.

Samsung H1 is the first smartphone made for Vodafone, as part of the Vodafone 360 initiative. 360 is a set of Internet services for mobile and PC, that gathers the user’s contacts, social networking communities and related info, plus music, games and photos in a single place. Here’s a quick review of the handset:
Samsung H1 sports a 3.5 inch AMOLED display, 16GB of internal memory, GPS, WiFi and a 5 megapixel camera. Its battery will provide 400 minutes of 3G talk time and you should know that the smartphone offers an unique 3D display experience.
Vodafone 360 will automatically sync contacts from your handset, Facebook, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger and Twitter, making all social networks available in one screen. The same service will also be used to backup you phone content.

Imagine that there’s a person you love abroad and you want to reach him/her as fast as possible. Text is the way to go and guess what… Vodafone is offering a “Text the World Friday” today, November 20. This UK-only offer celebrates the World Hello Day, allowing the carrier’s customers to send international texts all day long.
In order to send a free text, all you need to do is type the message and hit the “send” button. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got a contract or a pay as you go offer, since the free service stays the same. So, come on! Get your thumbs in gear and start texting to non-UK mobiles all day long.
Once again, remember: this offer only applies to Vodafone UK customers!

We’ve just learned from Mobilissimo that HTC HD2 has just hit local Eastern Europe carrier Vodafone Romania, that will sell it for a price starting with $714, bundled with a 2 year contract.
You can also get the cool capacitive multitouch phone by extending your contract by 2 years, but that adds an extra 20 euros to the handset’s price. There’s no one year contract offer sadly, but you can also get the handset free of commitment for 539 EUR. We remind you that HTC HD2 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GHz CPU, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash, Windows Mobile 6.5 and a huge touchscreen display.
It supports WiFi 802.11 b/g, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and VGA 30 fps video recording, plus A-GPS. In case these specs didn’t convince you, there’s always the fact that this is the first handset well specced enough to run Windows Mobile 7.
