Nokia N8 present on Vodafone UK’s website

Monday 31 May 2010 @ 10:00 am

Vodafone UK could be the first British company to sell mobile Nokia N8, because you just add the new version of dark steel ^ 3 Symbian smartphone on its website soon section.

Unfortunately, Vodafone does not provide a release date for the Nokia N8, but since the receiver is forced to hit the market in the third quarter of this year, the airline will offer as soon as July.

The price was not revealed, either, but I think Vodafone will offer free in N8 contract with plans from £ 30 per month (currently available as HTC Desire), or even less.

HTC Legend launched in Australia

Saturday 29 May 2010 @ 12:45 pm

HTC has announced that Vodafone and 3 Mobile (part of Hutchison Vodafone joint venture) was the only Australian mobile carriers to sell HTC legend.

The Legend is available in Australia from June 3 (first in Vodafone) – around a month after TELSTRA started selling the HTC Desire.

Like desire, Legend was HTC Android 2.1. However, it has many high-end features – but that does not mean it is a great smartphone. The legend has a frame made of aluminum and comes with a touchscreen AMOLED HVGA Sense UI, HTC Peep, Facebook integration, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.5mm headset jack, camera 5MP autofocus and support for microSD cards.

Vodafone Australia to offer the HTC Legend for free on contracts of U.S. $ 49 per month, or U.S. $ 599 ($ 499) sans contract.

Nokia C3 and BlackBerry Pearl 3G (9105) coming soon to Vodafone UK

Saturday 8 May 2010 @ 7:50 am

Nokia’s new entry-level QWERTY phone, the Nokia C3, will be available in the UK soon (probably in June), exclusively via Vodafone.

The C3 uses Nokia’s S40 UI, so it’s not exactly a smartphone. Anyway, the handset features a full QWERTY keypad, a 2.4 inch QVGA display, GSM/EDGE connectivity, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headset jack, 2MP camera, 55MB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support up to 16GB.

Vodafone doesn’t say how much the Nokia C3 will cost, but the phone should be offered for under £100 free of contract.

Another handset that’s coming to Vodafone UK is the BlackBerry Pearl 3G – the 9105 version, which has an alphanumeric keypad instead of a SureType one. The Pearl 3G also features BlackBerry OS 5, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, and a 3.2MP autofocus camera with LED flash.
