Samsung Forte, the MetroPCS LTE phone is back, this time dubbed as the SCH-R910. Apparently, the handset uses TouchWiz UI and it was recently spotted in a series of Flickr pics, some of which you can see below.
This is Android 2.2.1 material, based on a 1GHz CPU and sporting a 5MP camera. Rumor has it that this device could receive Galaxy S branding when it finally reaches the MetroPCS stores. That sliding QWERTY keyboard is certainly appealing and we hope that Gingerbread will be available on this model sooner than Android 2.2 will reach the Galaxy S, in its many US versions.
There’s a leaked image of Samsung 4G for T-Mobile aka Vibrant 4G and it seems that device might skip Android 2.2 and go with Gingerbread. This HSPA+ handset is the follow-up to the original Vibrant, the T-Mo version of Samsung Galaxy S.

Galaxy S aka Vibrant was released with Android 2.1 on board and right now it’s awaiting Android 2.2 as an update, but speculations have surfaced, saying that Samsung is delaying this software upgrade, in order to push the new Vibrant 4G model. The latter was said to run Froyo, but the picture you see here changes all theories.
The image was leaked courtesy of BGR and some say that we’re dealing with a fake, or simply that the Vibrant 4Gâs unlocked screen resembles Gingerbread because of TouchWiz customization. We’ll learn more about this aspect once the device is launched on February 9.
Samsung has just announced that it plans on launching a new messaging phone dubbed the Ch@t. Also known as Samsung S3500, the device will be a low-end model with a proprietary OS and medium-level specs. The unit will use a horizontal sliding QWERTY keyboard ideal for texting.

Samsunt Ch@t 350 also comes with a 2.4 inch display (240 x 320 pixels), FM radio, quad-band GSM support and a 2.1MP camera. Its battery provides 12 hours of talk time and the specs list also includes Bluetooth 2.1, a microSD card slot (8GB max) and a microUSB 2.0 port.
No price or availability were announced, but the device should become official by February.

Samsung has just started teasing the Galaxy S follow-up through a site called Samsung Unpacked. This website reveals that on February 13th we’ll see that “Evolution is Fate”, with the motto being accompanied by a picture of the Galaxy S.

Also, a preview of the smartphone is promised for February 1st, but we’ve yet to come across specs or real images. Mobile World Congress 2011 will surely reveal more and speculations say that we should expect a 4G LTE phone with a dual core CPU, or at least a single core Hummingbird unit with HSPA+.
Let’s wait for the next step of the teasing, next month.

Here’s another 4G LTE phone that was not part of the CES 2011 avalanche: Samsung Forte. This handset has a pretty interesting story and it’s supposed to be one and the same with the Samsung R190 model, pictured next to it below.
Samsung Hub is claiming that the two are not the same model, since Samsung Forte packs a sliding QWERTY keyboard, while R190 does not. Both run Android 2.2 and feature a 1GHz Hummingbird CPU, but the Samsung logo on the Forte is above, while the other model has it below the screen.
Also, the same R190 shows off the MetroPCS logo, while the other model does not and back to similarities, both handsets feature a 5MP camera, a microSD card slot and TouchWiz UI. We’ll probably have this story cleared once MetroPCS makes a price announcement for these units…
