While Nokia E7 handset is a step above the official flagship – N8, Nokia C7 is one step below.
Basically , Nokia C7 is a simplified, cheaper mainstream version of N8, without fancy multimedia features like HDMI out or Dolby Stereo playback, and lower resolution, 8 megapixel  camera.
It’s not that much cheaper, with recommended retail price of EUR 335 before subsidies and taxes, compared to EUR 370  RRP for Nokia N8.  In real life I expect  Nokia C7 to return out about 10-20% cheaper then it’s flagship cousin.
I had a bet to play slightly with Nokia C7 at Nokia World 2010, and I actually liked this phone. Evidently after 3 years Nokia has finally found out the way to make an effective touchscreen device, and it shows on all Symbian^3 handsets announced today.
Here’s a video overview, with a detailed social feature walk-through on Nokia C7:
And listed here are some live pics of the device:

Let the confusion with the brand new Nokia device naming scheme begin.
Introduced today as Nokia C6, the most affordable new Symbian^3 handset won’t be confused with previous Nokia C6 QWERTY smartphone that runs on Symbian^1/S0 5th edition . Â That old model was actually Nokia C6-00, and the brand new model is C6-01.
There. All is perfectly clear now, isn’t it?
Naming follies aside, the most recent Nokia C6-01 is a sexy interesting device. Basically, it’s a higher generation of the original Nokia touchscreen bestseller – 5800 XM. It’s got a similar sized 3.2″ capacitive AMOLED display, significantly better – 8mpx- camera, runs on the recent Symbian^3 OS and even has akin to 5800XM – 260 EUR before taxes and subsidies – starting pricepoint.
With the significantly improved feature set and touch user experience, the most recent Nokia C6 has a “potential bestseller” written right through it.

Turns out the “Ace” in HTC Ace could be a codename, and the completed product could be marketed as HTC Desire HD.
Looks like HTC desires to bank on the need’s brand awareness.
A spec sheet for the need HD has been leaked and, sure enough, it contains many upgrades in comparison to the vanilla Desire.
Let’s see what we should always expect.
4.3 ” WVGA (480 x 800) capacitive touchscreen (whether AMOLED or SCLCD is unknown at this time)
1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
8 Megapixel camera with 720p HD video capture
Android 2.2 with Flash 10 support
XviD playback support
SRS surround sound
4GB internal memory
eBook reader feature
unibody aluminum design
Intrigued yet? Anxious?
This might be HTC’s answer to all of the those that begged for a GSM version of the EVO. It even brings some nice enhancements in comparison to its CDMA predecessor.
There are still no leaked pictures, in order that’s only a plain Desire above.
It’s rumored that the desire HD will launch in October.
I wish manufacturers would stop releasing Android-based devices earlier than a brand new version of Android is due out. during this case, Android 3.0 will probably be available in late Q4, meaning that notwithstanding you purchase the will HD on day one, in a single or two months the software on it’ll not be the newest anymore.
And then the great cycle of looking forward to HTC to port Sense UI to the recent Android version shall begin.
Google and make contact with manufacturers should really be a bit bit more in sync in this matter.
Anyway, the “unibody aluminum design” sounds excellent, and might just propel the need HD past the plasticky Samsung Galaxy S.
