Unfortunately, Vodafone does not provide a release date for the Nokia N8, but since the receiver is forced to hit the market in the third quarter of this year, the airline will offer as soon as July.

BlackBerry Bold 9800 pictures are out, show more of new OS 6

Sunday 30 May 2010 @ 11:57 am

BlackBerry Bold 9800 may have already been seen in a couple of live photos and a video before, but this time we have new live photos are better quality and show what is probably the end of the upcoming smartphone. It definitely runs BlackBerry OS 6 and is a very good as a slider, although it seems a bit bulky compared to other devices like the Palm Pre seems, for example.

The new BlackBerry Bold 9800 live photos give us a great view of nearby WebKit browser smartphone slider QWERTY keyboard and virtual (as part of BlackBerry OS 6), as well as a vision of media player that has a clone Cover Flow to display the media on the device. The rear is simply adorned only by a small logo below the BlackBerry built-in camera.

As I noted earlier, the BlackBerry Bold 9800 is quite the handful, but probably will not be as difficult to use with both hands to hold things while you type on your keyboard or touching things on your touchscreen.

Below is a small gallery with more photos of the phone still unpublished. Its official release informs that happen around June / July, so I probably will not have pricing information until then. Unless it was filtered before the disclosure in any way, of course.

HTC EVO 4G get the HDMI 1.4 docking station

Sunday 30 May 2010 @ 11:24 am

Expected to be available from Sprint on June 4 (for $ 199 per contract), the HTC will EVO 4G rather unusual accessory: a docking station that is compatible with both HDMI port microUSB of OEI and its HDMI 1.4 port.

The docking station EVO 4G will be available at Best Buy “soon” – probably immediately after the same smartphone Android 1.2 is released.

This is good news, especially since micro HDMI cables seem to be a rarity in U.S. stores now. However, be aware that PCMag reviewed the capabilities of the HDMI output EVO 4G, and the results were “disappointing”: most of the videos play on television did not seem quite decent. Update: it seems that this has happened because the reviewer did not use high definition video, so you really should not expect that the results are satisfactory. Therefore, as noted in the comments below, this review is not relevant when it comes to true HDMI 4G capabilities EVO.
