HTC Touch Diamond2 at a Glance

The HTC Touch Diamond2 is as compact in design as the original HTC Diamond is. The mobile device is equipped with a 3.2-inch 480×800 widescreen display and is only 13.7 mm thick. Both the Touch Pro2 and Touch Diamond2 have a new touch-sensitive zoom bar used to zoom in or out when viewing images, web pages, emails, documents, photos, text messages, or Google Maps™.
Among other common features HTC’s TouchFLO 3D interface making the phone-using experience more instinctive, and Push Internet technology can be named. You may read a little more about them in this article. It’s worth mentioning that the device is optimized for one-hand use and provides the user with an advanced touch experience.
The HTC Touch Diamond2 features a 50% better battery life, expandable memory, 5-megapixel autofocus camera for quality image and video capture, gravity and ambient light sensors. Undoubtedly, a broad consumer audience will find the smartphone very useful with all its functionality.
The HTC Touch Diamond2 will be available in major European and Asian markets in early Q2 2009.

The HTC Touch Pro2 features a 3.6-inch widescreen 480×800 px display and large QWERTY keyboard. Compared with its predecessor, it has a longer battery life, and larger touch focus areas.
The mobile device is designed for business professionals and packs HTC’s TouchFLO 3D interface, expandable memory, HTC Straight TalkTM, a touch-sensitive zoom bar as well as gravity, proximity and ambient light sensors. It should also be mentioned that the device is optimized for heavy email use.

The report is devoted to Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile operating systems and smartphones that run them. Key points are as follows:
• BlackBerry 8300 (Curve) is the most popular RIM smartphone. It left behind BlackBerry 8100 (Pearl) and has 45% of traffic. Verizon mobile Internet is mostly accessed from BlackBerry Storm handsets that generate 38% of traffic.
• The most popular mobile devices running Symbian and Windows Mobile are much older than RIM smartphones. Nevertheless, most of the worldwide Symbian devices traffic is generated by Nokia N70 mobile phones and makes 17%.
• Among Windows Mobile devices Samsung Blackjack II is mostly used. It is interesting that the mobile Internet is generally accessed from phones running operating system that is several years old.
• Within the USA 5% of traffic is generated by mobile devices running Android. Not long ago HTC Dream (G1) was the number 13 mobile device in the US with 1.7% and now is the number one handset on the T-Mobile network.
